The American Medical Writers Association (AMWA) focuses on building a community for medical communicators to learn, connect, and grow. AMWA is a nonprofit providing many services, from continued education and job opportunities to access to news, industry trends, resources, and so much more.

AMWA North Central is one of 16 chapters in the United States. The North Central chapter has around 100 members across Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and northern Wisconsin.
Members come from a variety of professional and educational backgrounds and work in a wide range of settings, including freelance, medical device and pharmaceutical companies, universities, hospitals, and research organizations.
